Hey SweetHeart
God may be putting his hand to work in this move to B Company out of Lucedale and getting me closer to home so I can be home almost every night. Penny I am a firm beleiver that everything happens for a reason and I think there is a very good reason that this happen it is going to work in our advantage.
I woke up yesterday morning about 6:00 A.M. in a pool of sweat. I spent the night out at Dog Patch with my squad. God I loved doing that. I had serval people tell me that they were suprised about how hard I worked and the steady pace that I kept while I was working. They didn't think I would be able to do that kind of work expectly up on that hot roof all day.
What they didn't realize was that night when I layed down I was hurting like I havn't hurt in a very long time. But I loved it. I really loved it.
They also were as suprise how I handled myself when the easter eggs came flying from the sky. They think I am ethier crazy or have nerves of steal. What they don't realize is that I couldn't hear them over the heavy equipment going out there. So it wasn't that I was crazy or brave, I just didn't realize.(LOL) But Dog Patch won me some browine points which is good I hope.
Now back to yesterday. We load up the track and came on back in from the Patch. I got something to eat and went and took a shower, man was I ever dirty. I had dirt in places I didn't think dirt could get. I was literally covered head to toe in sand and dirt, man it was great.
Came back and SGT Dyer had a couple of packages waiting on me. It was three all together. Two was from you my loving and adoring wife. Then I watched a movie Kingdom of Heaven and ate my dip (send more dip just like that) and set a thing of soup out in the sun to get warm and ate that also (send more soup also the one ready to eat). Then I fell asleep for a couple of hours to get some rest. Got up and moving about 4:00 P.M. and put on Man On Fire. While I was watching that I ate other can of soup (sun warmed of course) and some cheese and crackers (send more cheese and crackers). About 6:30 in the afternoon I got up and got ready to go out to OP 3 (Observation Post) with a guy by the name of Dye pretty funny guy. I had to go and get him for OP duty he was running just a little late.
When we got ready to leave I told him when he gets out the gate not to spare the horses and boy he didn't. I think we hit Mach 1 on the way out there. He told me later that night that he was suprised that I didn't say anything about the way he was driving. I told him he did wxactly what I told him to do. I think that earn me some browine points with him.
We were out there from 7:00 P.M. until 1:00 A.M. just six hours. It wasn't bad. That is where I am until I woke up this morning and I will send that tomorrow.
But I love you and miss you so very very much. I love it with these guys so far. I didn't have to prove anything to this guys like I did in Charile company. It is great so far. I am sure I will have days where I will say different. You know everyday can't be great. But it will be great when I can hold you in my arms once again.
