Got up this morning 10 September 2005 about 0530 (oh my God its early 30) to get ready to go to Dog Patch. It was my team's turn to get ice, water, food, fuel and other odd and ends to go to Dog Patch. We left on time today and got there with no problems. It was great. everything fell into place for a change. We got there and relieved 2 patrol group. we met our new medic, SSG Bowman and we talked most of the morning away.
It started getting cool again after the sun went down and I was the last shift, so when I went back on the morning of the 11th, it was down right cool.
We left Dog Patch at about 0815 this morning and went on our quick little patrol and I mean quick.
It all took about 30 to 45 minutes and we were back in the FOB. After getting back I went and took a nice shower and got the Dog Patch dirt off of me. Then I had some odds and ends to take care off. Weapons cleaning and gear cleaning.
I also got my hands on all Seven seasons of Star Trek Voyager. Can you believe I got all seven years?
I am in hog heaven. That is all for the past two days at Dog Patch.
I love you and the boys with all my heart and I can't wait until I get home and see you guys again. I will be home before you know it.
Got an e-mail from CPT Bartran today and he is leaving in Oct-Nov to come over here. I really hate it for him.

Cute blog and a great way to honor your husband while he is serving. My wife and 6 and 3 year old daughters pray for all of our soldiers every night at prayertime. May God protect your family and honor your efforts to acknowledge Him. Stay strong and God bless you guys.....
Did you find soldiers were asked to remove all but one American flag over their FOB? A little milblog rattle might be in order, Hooah?
