I know today is a day when we are very proud of our soldiers, but it is also a bittersweet day when we miss them so much. Remember to hold your heads up high today. Although this day is named for the veterans, it is also a day when every mom, dad, spouse, and child of a soldier should know they are loved and respected. Without each of these family members, the soldiers' missions would be much harder. By keeping the homefront safe and secure, all of you family members are serving this great country each minute of each day.
So please know that not only do we love and respect our soldiers, we also love and have great respect for the families.
May God speed our men and women home safely and may God guide your way as you wait to welcome them.
Love to you all, Debbie

Thanks for your precious comment on our blog today, Penny. I forwarded it to Bret, my stepson, whose article about Veterans Day will appear in his paper tomorrow. We all appreciate each other, don't we? Thanks for sharing the journey.
