Our Papaw

Our Papaw Archie went to be with Jesus on June 8, 2008. Our dad was already in Wisconsin at Fort McCoy. We sent a Red Cross Message so that he could come home for the funeral. The Red Cross told him that his ticket would cost $1500!! Apparently the Red Cross does not pay for soldiers tickets to come home for Bereavement. We searched and searched for a way for him to come home. We looked for skymiles to be donated or any other means in which to get our daddy home. With some searching we finally got in touch with Delta and they gave us a lower rate of $590. We did get him home on Sunday night and he had to leave on Thursday. This has been extremely difficult for little Drew who is only 3. He has lost his papaw, who he stayed with every day, and his dad is gone. He doesn't understand where they are and why they have not come home. Please pray for our family.
