Finally.. an email from Shane July 25

Good Morning Love

Everything is going fine today. Just got back in this morning. Let me tell you about my day yesterday.
Yesterday my squad got up before the sun, which around here is very early seeing how the sun is up at about 5:00 A.M. here. We loaded all of your equipment and stuff like that. They we went to the edge of Owesat Village and actually built a small Fire Base there call Dog Patch. It was great being there for that. I got to fill sandbags build bumer (walls made out of dirt). We set it up at an old house that no one was living at. It was amazing to watch all this hard work turn into something so quickly. I was even able to keep up with the other guys. I think I kind of suprised them that I could, but I really paid for it that is for sure. I am sore this morning. The nice people of Owesat let us know just how much they appreciated us being there by sending a couple mortars our way. It was pretty cool actually. There was so much going on that we didn't even know it happened. Somebody else at OP 3 had to call us and let us know. We just kept on working.

I am doing went I was sent here to do finally. Now I can take care of my new set of boys. And they are a pretty good bunch of guys. They haven't had any problems with making me part of the group. Well I love you and will e-mail you in the morning
