July 30th email from Shane

Well today has been a killer day let me tell you.
If I have to many more like this I don't know if I am going to be able to keep up.
I took off OP duty at 7:00 this morning.
When me and Dye got back, we decided to get some breakfast.
It was O.K. we got there just as they were closing, so it wasn't 4 stars not even 1 star standard, but it was food in the stomach. All kidding aside everyone complains about the chow everywhere I have ever been. But these guys do a very good job with what they have to work with. In my opinion they do more to make a meal to our liking than they have to.
They have the most thankless job here on the FOB but the most important on top of that.
I couldn't do the job that they do and put up with the crap that they do.
I think they do a great job with what they have.
But on that note honey please please send more soup (Campbell's Ready to Eat Tomato Soup Classic). After we got finished eating I went and grabbed a quick shower and went to bed. I finally got in the bed about 9:00 A.M. Man was I tired. I couldn't keep my eyes open any more. I went to sleep only to lay down for a couple of hours and I ended up sleeping until about 2:00 P.M. I couldn't believe it.
So I got up and went to the internet cafe to check and send some e-mails. Then went back and guess what I watched? Yes, I started the 2nd season of 24. Man that show is good.
I found out late that afternoon that I had to go back to OP 3 at 7:00 in the morning to 1:00 in the afternoon. And guess who I have it with again. Yes that right Jimmy Dye.
My wake up will be about 5:30 in the morning then go out there and over watch my area for 6 hours tomorrow. That looks like is all on my schedule for tomorrow. But that can change by the minute also. That is what I like about this job full of surprises.

Well tell the boys how much I love and miss them. I will be home in 6 or so months it will be here before we know it. I love you guys more than life itself and miss you guys terribly.
