August 1 Update

Side Note: I actually talked to Shane this morning, he is doing great. He sounds happy and laughs a lot. He is so much more relaxed than before from being in the office.
God has a way of taking care of things doesn't he!
Just pray that he stays safe while he is on duty outside the wire.

Thanks for the pictures of the kids. They are looking good. I looked at the blog also. Man doesn't Drew have my good looks.(LOL) Well he does have my big nose. So what did Drew think about being able to touch the duck?
Everything here is still going good can't complain on bit.

Woke up this morning at 0530 in the morning (man that was early) to get ready to go to OP 3 for my shift. Got up and finally got my blood flowing and got my things ready to go out. Checked on Dye and made sure he was up and going. He was in the process of getting ready.
We left and headed out about 6:45. We got there and relieved the guys and climb on top of the roof to start our shift.
I set my soup on the wall where it could to warm.
Me and Dye just watched over the road and Dog Patch until it was it for you to get off.
Nothing happen another boring day at OP 3 thank God.
If I can keep going there and keep have boring days it will make me very happy.
Our relief came about 1 in the afternoon right, on time, just the way we all like it.
Came back went to the tent and guess what I did? Yes watched some more of 24.
I kept checking the status board and nothing was going on.
A couple of the guys went out on a raid but it wasn't any one from my patrol group.
So I went back to my tent and clean a much to dirty weapon (it doesn't take long over here for one to get dirty) for a couple of hours while of course I watched 24.
By that time is was dinner time. We had seafood lobster tail and crap claws.
It was good. They I went and got a shower and settled in the for night.

01 August 2005
Woke up this morning about 7:30 in the morning. I don't have anything going on until 11:00 tonight when I go out to Pad 2. It is inside the FOB it is just like standing tower guard but it is on a vehicle.
And guess what it is me and Dye again.
So at least we have something to talk about.
He is the guy that I also borrowed the 24 series from.
About 1000 this morning SSG Collins came in and told me that I didn't have internet duty but I was going out to Dog Patch instead. YEAH.
I am looking forward to getting back out there.
So I am leaving to go out there in the morning for 24 hours.
So all I have left to do is pack my bag to go out there and get ready to go on duty tonight.
I can't complain about that in bit.
Man i am glad to be going out there again.
Looks like I am going to have OP duty on the 3rd not real sure of the time and I will be going back out to Dog Patch the next day.
Oh Yeah please send a can opener please.
Well that is about all that has be going for the past two days.
Got to go my time is up.
